1. One Day Course for Leaving Cert. Students with Dyslexia

Venue: Mercer Hotel, Lower Mercer St., Dublin 2.
Date: Saturday 9th October 2010.
This is a one day course for students in 5th and 6th year at second level. It will cover understanding your own dyslexia and learning style, note-taking, study skills and organisational skills and information students need to know about exam accommodation, application to third level and supports at third level.

2. Exam Preparation Course – Junior and Leaving Cert.

DAI runs a year-long Exam Preparation courses to help students sitting State exams (Junior and Leaving Certificate). These classes are held in the national office in Suffolk Street in Dublin on Wednesday (Junior Cert.) and Thursday (Leaving Cert.) evenings from 5.30pm to 7.30pm. The course consists of weekly sessions of two hours duration. The course covers the English syllabus, as well as on-going development of efficient reading, revision, note-taking and writing skills. This course runs from September to April of the exam year.

3.  Course for Junior Cert. Students

A free course for Junior Certificate students with dyslexia will be run concurrently with the Parents’ Courses. This students’ course is for 3rd Year students only. The course will cover topics such as study skills and exam preparation for the Junior Certificate.
