The new Autumn/Winter 2011 term is due to start on Monday 12th September at 5.30pm in St Mary’s Youth Centre, Tullamore, Co Offaly. Offaly DAI staff and committee look forward to seeing familiar faces after the summer break and welcoming some new members to the workshops.

You may have noticed that the workshops are due to start at 5.30pm this year. The times have been altered to accomodate the needs of those travelling, in the hopes of relieving pressure on workshop participants, their parents and of course the tutors and committee members who take an active part in running the workshops.Punctuality is important for workshop participants, allowing them to get the best out of their workshops. Parents are asked to arrive for 5.30pm and 7.30pm respectively, allowing for signing in/out, etc.

As in previous years parents are encouraged to settle workshop fees in advance.

It is hoped that a roster will be introduced, allowing for parents to become more involved in facilitating the workshops. This will involve some preparation of the workshop space, hall monitoring and ensuring that all workshop participants, including staff and committee are signed in/out. Tea and coffee making facilities are available. Parents wishing to take a more active part in facilitating the workshops are invited to make this known to committee members.
